DOING EXPLOITS IN THE DECADE OF SOARING
Text: 2 Kings 3:17 & 20
As we journey through the Decade of Soaring, the Lord is calling His people beyond survival into significance, beyond limitation into supernatural accomplishment. Our February theme, Doing Exploits in the Decade of Soaring, is a prophetic reminder that soaring is not passive; it is powered by faith-filled obedience and divine intervention.
Understanding the Context
In 2 Kings 3, three kings, Israel, Judah, and Edom found themselves in a desperate situation. They were on a military expedition but ran out of water. Without water, their mission and their lives were at risk. What looked like an inevitable defeat became an opportunity for God to display His power.
The prophet Elisha declared the word of the Lord:
“Thus says the Lord: You shall not see wind, nor shall you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water…” (2 Kings 3:17)
The Bible records:
“Now it happened in the morning, when the grain offering was offered, that suddenly water came by way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.” (2 Kings 3:20)
Key Lessons for the Decade of Soaring
1. Exploits Begin with Divine Instruction
God instructed them to dig ditches, an action that made no natural sense in a dry valley. Doing exploits in this decade requires obedience to God’s word, even when it contradicts logic. Soaring believers act on God’s instruction before they see the evidence.
2. God Works Beyond Visible Signs
The Lord promised water without wind or rain. This teaches us that God is not limited by conventional processes. In this year, our exploits will not always come through familiar channels. God will surprise us with unusual help, uncommon favour, and supernatural supply.
3. Preparation Precedes Manifestation
The water came because the ditches were already dug. Preparation is proof of expectation. When we align our actions with God’s promises, we create capacity for miracles. Those who prepare will be the ones who partake in divine overflow.
4. Exploits Bring Victory and Visibility
The same water that preserved the armies also confused their enemies and led to victory. When God moves in our lives, it is not only for our survival but also for our triumph and testimony. Our exploits will announce God’s glory in our families, careers, ministries, and nation.
A Prophetic Charge
In this Decade of Soaring, God is positioning us to do exploits spiritually, professionally, and corporately. February is a call to dig the ditches of faith, prayer, obedience, and excellence. As we do, the God who fills valleys without rain will cause us to rise, prevail, and soar.
This month, you will not just endure, you will do exploits, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
